  • Jacobs Music

To what do we owe our longevity?

For one thing, we're still a family-owned business. Jacobs Music Company was founded by the Jacobs family in 1900, the same year the Philadelphia Orchestra came into existence. Today, it is operated by the Rinaldi family - with the same time-honored values. Our sales consultants really know about the products we carry - and any other one you can find. Our technical experts are every bit as well-qualified.

Second, we're more than piano retailers. We take a leading role in the region's musical community, providing instruments and technical services for internationally renowned artists and music institutions, supporting schools and individuals involved in musical performances and music education. Each year, the company sponsors recitals, master classes, young artist competitions, teaching and technical seminars, and other events aimed at musical enrichment. We also present the Jacobs Music Award to outstanding graduating pianists at area universities and music schools.

The principals of the company - Al C. Rinaldi, Chairman and CEO and Gabrielle Kazze Rinaldi, Executive Vice President and Director, Concert & Artist Department - have actively served as board members of The Curtis Institute of Music, Settlement Music School, Astral Artistic Services, the Musical Fund Society, as well as other arts institutions and organizations. In its second century of establishment, the Jacobs heritage is well protected with Chris Rinaldi, President and Robert Rinaldi, Senior Vice President of Operations, pledging to carry on their father's legacy by continuing to support the region's musical artists, educators and institutions, and providing them and their students with the finest instruments from the world's most respected manufactures. Robert Rinaldi actively serves on the School of Music Advisory Board for West Chester University and the Board of Directors of the Hope for Henry Foundation.
